Our accommodations are ideally suited for a large family vacation. Small families and couples also work well--even singles!

Private Layout:
The family sailing accommodations are completely separate from the crew with a separate access-way off the forward Galley. The guest area consists of 4 double berths, two private berths each with private entrances on the starboard side which share one Head/Shower. In addition there are  two private berths on the port side each with private entrances that share the second Head/Shower. So the layout works very well for a large family group of up to 8 adults. But it also works well for two separate smaller families of up to 4 adults each. Up to three smaller children could share one double berth. A detailed layout is shown below with pictures. There are additional pictures of the common areas in discussions about Relaxing, Sailing, Boating, and Snorkeling.

Facilities:
All of the heads/showers and the Galley have hot/cool pressurized water and the swim platform has a cool water shower for rinsing off. There are two fresh water systems one for general use and one for drinking only. The only refrigerated drinking outlet is in the galley near the refrigerator. It is purified bottled water from 5 gallon bottles. The general use potable water is from a reverse osmosis water maker with a large storage tank. Power is 12 VDC or some 115 VAC from the 3000 watt inverter. There is a three burner propane stove and oven. There is also a regular size micro-wave oven. There are two refrigerators, one cold and one cool. In addition there is one freezer and an ice maker with cool water dispenser. There are more details on boat operations in Garbage 101.

Meals:
Our meals are quality food served family style. Breakfast typically consists of scrambled eggs, fried potatoes and some meat like sausage, ham, or bacon with tortillas or bread. Breakfast is served buffet style. There is usually oatmeal and local fruit available as well as local juices. Lunches are also served buffet style. There are a variety of deli meats, cheeses and breads with condiments to make what ever sandwich you want as well as a variety of side dishes. Dinners are the one time of day that usually allow us all to sit down together so we try to serve and "set the table". Fish is the most commonly served with chicken a close second together with local breads and salads or vegetables. Coffee is American style blended coffee. We provision once a week just before you arrive. We also add items as we go ashore. So we are counting on you to indicate your preferences when you make your arrangements with us, or make suggestions when we are ashore and bring your own requirements that might not be available here. Usually everyone eats ashore at least once a week, sometimes more as you prefer. But we always have dinner available for those who stay aboard.

Drinks:
We have onboard a variety of generic sodas and juices that are available in the local markets, the brand names will vary from location to location. We can usually get milk if you request. We will provide each of you with one fresh bottle of water which you can refill from the bottled bulk, cold drinking water as often as you need. If you need some special brand of water or if you need something special either bring it or stop for your own mini-provisioning on your way from the airport. We have local Rum or local Tequila for drinks when you first arrive. The rest is up to you. So plan to ask the taxi to stop at the local liquor store and pick up what you need. And be sure it is cold, especially water, sodas and beer and don't forget your favorite drink mix. If you want gourmet coffee--bring it or try to get it locally. Generally you will have other chances to pick-up items that you need when you go ashore. Remember these are foreign countries and they may not have your favorite brand of soda or beer.

Music:
We have a CD stereo sound system with built in speakers in the salon area. We have a selection of Caribbean style music to set the mood. But please bring your favorite CDs so you feel at home.

Smoking:
Smoking is not permitted onboard for safety and health reasons. It would endanger the lives of everyone aboard!
