Our diving system is so simple--anyone in good health can do it! Our Caribbean diving activities include a 15ft Run-About and a Hookah air line system with scooter jets to use on your vacation adventure. We use an air line system that eliminates the bulky, heavy tanks commonly used for Scuba. We also use full-face masks that do not require mouth pieces and allow you to breath normally even through your nose! For added safety, we still require you to have an open water certificate which you can get at home from your local dive shop. Get everybody certified before you come, even if they do not actually think they can or will dive. If certification is not possible, at least take an "intoduction to scuba" class at your local dive shop. These classes are usually free and they let you try out scuba just to see if you like it. Once they see how easy it is they will be glad they did. If you do not have your certification and you are willing to sign a waiver and take a free online internet course before you come, we have crew who can help you to "discover Hookah" without credit towards certification. You must take an introductary trial with your local dive shop before you come. Click here to download and complete the home study course. It is a Microsoft Power Point presentation. Free viewers are available from Microsoft downloads. For added safety we will restrict your depth to 15 ft but this is more than enough for most locations. Children must be at least 10 years old and with their parent or custodian. Here is how the hookah system works. The compressor floats on the surface with an inner-tube like platform and moves on the surface above as you swim below. We can support 4 divers at a time, each with a 40ft line that connects to a small docking harness on your back. We have two full face masks and two conventional masks and regulators, with 4 sets of adult fins, BCDs and weights. If possible you should bring your own masks and mouthpieces. I also strongly recommend booties, and a light .5-1.0 mm wetsuite. A full suit is best for cut protection. The 40 ft lines insure that everyone stays together and no one can go below 40 ft. Most diving of this type is in 10 ft-40 ft of water because of visibility. Now you are ready to go! We also have two Sea Doo GTI scooters to help you out especially if you are not a strong swimmer. Each couple can share one scooter with the mate holding on to the others harness. I meant it when I said anyone in good health can do this and you will be talking about it for years to come! The airline system is great for shallow diving. However if you are an avid scuba diver, you can rent equipment at the local dive shops. There are lots of wrecks to dive on and we can assist you with the Run-About to get to the best spots. The dive shop will probably offer a guided dive as well. Of course you will need your Open Water Certificate to fill the tanks and the deeper longer dives might require a 3.0 mm wetsuit.
