Each Caribbean island location has it own local attractions and activities.

The Caribbean is a popular destination for a fantasy vacation adventure. Our section of the Caribbean is usually referred to as the Eastern Caribbean, consisting of the Virgin Islands, Leeward Islands and the Windward Islands. There are many conventional tourist guides available for each location. Cruising guides are also very helpful, see Trip Guides for recommendations of local activities and attractions. These guides will tell all about the local attractions, local tours, restaurants and clubs as well as ideas for provisioning and shopping. Also in each weekly itinerary we have two or more links to internet pages that have local info and maps. We strongly recommend that you investigate the local attractions before you come so you have some ideas about what you would like to do ashore. We can help as well. We have two mountain style bikes you can use ashore as well, see Biking. We also have all the equipment necessary to enjoy Beach Fun. We can also use the radio to hail a taxi to meet us at the dock. Most taxi drivers will offer excursions to various island attractions as well as information about all the island activities.

Each locality will offer local family activities to agument those we can do on the boat. There are local fishing charters, dive shops, jet ski rentals, zip-line activities, surf board rentals, jungle and mountain hikes, taxi based excursions, and parasailing excursions. Most of these islands support cruise ships so the island offers all of the excursions that cruise ships usually offer. To get a better idea check out the cruise ship offerings for that island port of call. The Run-About is our primary transport for shore trips. The kayaks can also be used for shore duty for special situations. We have two hand held VHF radios with GPS and DSC calling in addition to the main VHF onboard and the VHF on the Run-About. It is easy to maintain contact with each other and the mother ship. The crew can take you ashore and come to pick you up when you are ready to return. We can automatically monitor your GPS location by DSC in case you are lost or need help. Also both radios have an emergency DSC call button that will alert us and everyone else in the area if you have an emergency and provide your exact location.
