As Adam discovered, paradise is not without risks. But oh, they are sweet, exciting, thrilling, and adventurous. In fact we spent most of our life savings so we could enjoy these risks! In this case "enjoy" means maximize the fun and minimize the danger. So to protect our investment we have gone out of our way to keep the risks "enjoyable". But we can only achieve this with your full cooperation. So to make it clear that everyone must be vigilant at all times to the risks, we will require each guest to sign a Release of Liability. This does not in and of itself create safety, only awareness. We hope you will try very hard to avoid the thrill of danger and focus on the enjoyment of "sustainable fun". Here are some ideas to keep in mind. The single biggest risk is "falling": falling off the sloop, falling into the cockpit, falling below deck, falling into the Run-About, falling out of the Run-About, and falling off of the dock. So go slow and deliberate. Remember the old sailor's adage: "one hand for you and one hand for the boat". In other words: professionals hold on when they sail, amateurs do not. The second biggest problem is running into and over things with the Run-About or Dink. There are more details in Waiver, and more discussion under the FAQ: "Is It Scary".
