[Home][FAQ][ Is Sailing Required?]

Sailing is one of the key activities of this adventure.

This is a sailing yacht based vacation. So it would be unlikely that the majority of your group would not want to enjoy some sailing. Our standard itinerary presumes that this is the case. However, in order to accommodate family size groups, we realize that options and variety make the best family vacation. Please see the discussion under Trip Planning and Customize as well as the discussion under Sea Sickness. In those discussions we outline how those who can't or prefer not to sail can still participate in a meaningful vacation with their family. We pride ourselves in trying to provide a fantasy vacation opportunity that allows a group with varied interests to enjoy the same vacation.

Likewise a group of experienced sailors might find our standard itinerary too bland! If so contact us during your trip planning stage and we can discuss more ambitious plans.

To help you select the right weeks to match your sailing enthusiasm, here is a breakdown by week according to the amount of sailing difficulty.

Short sails with no passage required: Weeks 2, 8, 11, 19, 21, 24, 27, 28, 30, 32, 34, 35, 40, 46, 49.

Little sailing with a short passage: Weeks 4, 5, 7, 10, 14, 29, 30, 41, 42, 43, 45, 47, 48, 52.

Typical sailing with a typical passage: Weeks 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 26, 44.
