St. Kitts is our Caribbean paradise for the 3rd week of the year.
During this week our family sailing cruise will concentrate on St. Kitts which is an ideal location for a vacation adventure. St. Kitts is a lot like its sister island Nevis, lush green central mountain range to 3700 feet. The nick name for this island is Liamuiga meaning fertile isle. Unfortunately just like Nevis there are only a few anchorages
and they are south bound not north bound as we are. So we will cover more sailing territory on this week than most. Shore activities are numerous and jet skis are prohibited as is diving without a dive shop. This is one of the few weeks where we have a prearranged passage option. Option one is through Statia and the other spends more time in St. Kitts and then goes directly to St. Barths skipping Statia. Part of the reason for the prearranged option is that sometimes depending on the direction of swell, the anchorage
at Statia becomes uncomfortable. We will meet you at the deap water port, Basseterre Bay, St. Kitts Sunday afternoon near 17.28923833,-62.71249667 at the coast guard pier.
