Virgin Gorda is our Caribbean paradise for the 7th week of the year.
During this week our family sailing cruise will concentrate on Virgin Gorda which is an ideal location for a vacation adventure. Virgin Gorda is the first island we visit in the British Virgin Islands. It is one of the British Virgin Islands and has a population of about 8,000. There are no scheduled air flights to Virgin Gorda. So you will have to
fly into Tortola and then take a ferry to the main city at Spanish Town, also called "The Valley". San Juan is the nearest International Airport but there are connections through St. Thomas and St. Croix.
Be sure and check out the ferry schedules in the links below. We will spend most of our time in the area called North Sound on the northern coast of Virgin Gorda. We will meet you at Yacht Harbour (Spanish Town), Virgin Gorda near 18.45165333,-64.43767167 at the ferry dock. We will return you to Maya Cove, Tortola on Saturday. If some of your group want to skip the 3 hour passage, you can return on the ferry and meet us at Maya Cove.
