Grenada is our Caribbean paradise for the 30th week of the year.
During this week our family sailing cruise will concentrate on the Grenada which is an ideal location for a vacation adventure. The Grenadines are a beautiful range of small islands between St. Vincent and Grenada. Grenada is a rolling, mountainous island, covered with fragrant spice trees and rare tropical flowers, bordered by stunning beaches, and dotted with picturesque towns. So we spend two weeks here. Our first week is easy for sailing. Our longest sail is about 5 hours in semi-protect waters. We will pick you up at Tyrrel Bay on Carriacou Island near 12.4564533,-61.485375 at the dinghy dock in front of the Turtle Dove Restaurant. You will need a taxi from the airport. It is close by the airport. Just have the taxi hail "Family Affair" on channel 9 and we will come and get you. We will deliver you to the dock at Prickly Bay, Grenada on Sunday morning before noon. The airport is nearby and there is ferry service as well. Grenada has good connections to other international airports such as St. Lucia, San Juan, and Port of Spain.

Itinerary & Passage Plan:
Sunday:
You will fly into Carriacou Island. We will meet you at the dock in Tyrrel Bay, on Carriacou Island on Sunday afternoon and spend the night there. You will need a taxi from the airport to the dock at Tyrrel Bay. It is close by. Have the taxi hail the "Family Affair" on channel 9 and we will pick you up at the dock.
Monday:
On Monday we will stay in our anchorage and get acquainted with the recreational opportunities and the local activities. From here we have easy access with the Run-About to the whole island and nearby reefs.
Tuesday:
We will make passage to Grand Mal, Grenada leaving about 9:00 AM. It will take about 5 hours.
Wednesday:
We will spend Wednesday day and night at Grand Mal, Grenada. From here we have easy access by Run-About to Dragon Bay, St. George's, and Anse Grand.
Thursday:
We will move anchorage to Prickly Bay, Grenada and spend the night. We will leave about 10:00 AM. It is about a 2 hour sail. From here we have easy access by Run-About to all of the south bays and reefs.
Friday:
We will spend Friday day and night at Prickly Bay. From here we have easy access by Run-About to all of the south bays and reefs.
Saturday:
We will spend Saturday day and night at Prickly Bay. From here we have easy access by Run-About to all of the south bays and reefs.
Sunday:
We will deliver you to the dock at Prickly Bay, Grenada at your convenience before noon. So you will need a taxi to the airport from the dock, it is very near. We can hail one using the radio. Grenada has good airline connections to other Islands like St. Lucia, San Juan, Port of Spain with International flights.
